Job summary

Full Circle Partners is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a Perth-based organisation to design, build and mature a modern Fabric-based data platform. You’ll deliver trusted, high-quality data to the business and support reporting, analytics and emerging AI initiatives.

The role is a 6-month day-rate contract at A$1,000 per day, on-site five days a week. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business to implement lakehouse architectures, Power BI models and CI/CD data deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Hands-on Fabric experience: Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex queries and optimisations.
• Experience designing Power BI models across Direct Lake, Import and DirectQuery modes.
• Understanding of data governance and security practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployments.
• Experience preparing data to support AI/ML initiatives.
• Microsoft Fabric certification (DP-700/DP-600) is highly regarded.
• Analytical and collaborative problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and models.
• Ensure data is accurate, well-governed and fit for purpose.
• Develop and support Power BI semantic models across Direct Lake, Import and DirectQuery modes.
• Implement lakehouse solutions with Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture.
• Prepare curated data assets to support AI/ML initiatives.
• Manage code, work items and deployments via Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Design and optimise SQL queries and transformations.
