Job summary

Whizdom in Sydney is seeking an experienced Data Engineer specializing in Informatica IDMC/IICS to support a major transformation for a leading Australian financial services client.

You will design and deliver scalable ETL pipelines, implement data governance and catalog solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders across cloud platforms. This six-month contract offers hands-on, enterprise-scale data integration work.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of Informatica PowerCenter experience.
• Three to five years of Informatica IDMC or IICS experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• At least five years of strong ETL design experience.
• Experience implementing Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise metadata management, data lineage and governance frameworks.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience working with relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Oracle, Azure Database and Teradata.
• Understanding of CI/CD or DevOps practices for data-integration deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mappings, pipelines, taskflows and workflows using Informatica Cloud Data Integration.
• Deliver scalable ETL and batch-integration solutions across enterprise environments.
• Implement Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog capabilities.
• Support metadata cataloguing, data lineage, classification and business data flows.
• Establish data-quality checks, profiling and governance-by-design practices.
• Work with relational databases and cloud data platforms.
• Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices for data-integration deployments.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
