Job summary

Profusion Group is seeking a Data Engineer on a 6‑month contract to join a global data transformation initiative. The role focuses on building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines and enabling Databricks adoption within the platform.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, and experience with modern cloud data platforms. This hybrid role offers exposure to Databricks and cross-functional collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Exposure to Databricks or willingness to develop capability.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP (AWS preferred).
• Strong SQL and Python skills for ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• Around 4-6 years’ experience in Data Engineering.
• Exposure to Databricks, or a strong desire to build your capability in the platform.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with Spark, data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and modern data platforms.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, APIs, and data integrations.
