Base Pay Range

A$150,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high‑impact project implementing a new data lakehouse environment. Reporting to the Data Analytics and Reporting Manager and working closely with the project team, you will play a pivotal role in driving data ingestion, modelling, and maintenance pipelines within the Databricks environment, ensuring data is effectively collected, stored, and organised for seamless querying and analysis.

This is a 12‑month max term contract.

What You’ll Do

• Design and oversee end‑to‑end data architecture solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Leverage Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and DevOps tools to optimise data processing.
• Collaborate with a high‑performing, customer‑focused team in a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and security across large‑scale data environments.
• Drive best practices in data engineering, modelling, and architecture to support business intelligence and analytics.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or related disciplines (preferred).
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and best practices; contributing to a robust DevOps culture.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure networking concepts, with hands‑on experience in implementation and support.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
