  • Develop and support data ingestion from cloud and on‑premises sources including SQL and REST API sources using Python notebooks.
  • Develop and support ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks Lakeflow pipelines.
  • Contribute to data modelling for analytics, operational reporting, and machine‑learning use cases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver fit‑for‑purpose data solutions.
  • Monitor, test, and troubleshoot data processes to ensure reliability and integrity of critical datasets.
  • Optimise data storage, compute performance, and cost‑efficiency across cloud environments.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy, security, and governance standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices, documentation, and methodologies.

What You Will Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in data engineering, including distributed systems and cloud data architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks using Unity Catalogue, Lakeflow Connect, Lakeflow Jobs and Pipelines, Databricks SQL, AI/BI Dashboards, AI/BI Genie, Unity Catalogue Business Semantics, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps for sprint and task management, as well as DevOps CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling (Kimball/star-schema) and dimensional patterns (e.g. SCD2, Late Arriving Dimensions), metadata management, governance, and data‑quality practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across project delivery.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card, and LCS screening.
  • Exposure to aged care, healthcare, or not‑for‑profit environments (ideal but not essential).
  • Experience integrating data from operational, clinical, or financial systems, including: Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Zavanti, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Aurion, Epicor SLS, UKG Workforce Pro, AutumnCare, RiskMan, Sandwai, Netsmart myEvolv (highly regarded)
