Job summary

Nuage Technology Group is seeking experienced Data Centre Operations Technicians to support the delivery and maintenance of critical infrastructure in a hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot server, storage, and network equipment, perform copper and fibre cabling, monitor systems, and assist with deployments and decommissioning while keeping logs up to date. ITIL/Certs are advantageous and familiarity with DCIM tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data centre operations and infrastructure
• Knowledge of incident management and change processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records of assets, rack layouts, and technical procedures.
• Conducting routine operational checks across power, cooling, environmental, and security systems.
• Supporting change activities and planned maintenance within established operational frameworks.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Data Centre Operations Technician's in both Melbourne & Sydney to support the delivery and maintenance of critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on position and plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of next gen data centre services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing, maintaining, and supporting server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Performing copper and fibre cabling installations, testing, patching, and documentation.
• Monitoring data centre infrastructure and responding to incidents, alarms, and service requests.
• Troubleshooting hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure issues to minimise operational impact.
• Assisting with equipment deployments, upgrades, relocations, and decommissioning activities.
• Maintaining accurate records of assets, rack layouts, and technical procedures.
• Conducting routine operational checks across power, cooling, environmental, and security systems.
• Supporting change activities and planned maintenance within established operational frameworks.

The following experience would be advantageous:

• ITIL knowledge or experience working within IT service management environments.
• Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Server+, or CompTIA Network+.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale or hyperscale data centre operations.
• Familiarity with DCIM, monitoring, or infrastructure management tools.
• Basic scripting or automation experience using technologies such as PowerShell or Python.

This is a hybrid position which wil require you to work onsite in either Sydney or Melbourne.
