About the Role

Due to sustainable growth, we are recruiting an experienced, permanent, full-time Data Architect to join our Archerfield, QLD office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the Data Architecture Strategy, contributing towards Master Data Management strategies, and influencing the design of data lifecycle management that supports operational activities across the enterprise.

Additionally, this role provides expert guidance to data innovation programs such as the deployment of AI, prediction algorithms, machine learning, etc. across Sime Darby Industrial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and implementation of a data management strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and ensures the realisation of data value across all departments and locations.
  • Design data models and data integration processes.
  • Support the design of data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms that support the storage, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data.
  • Support the establishment and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions aligned with architecture standards and principles.
  • Provide training and mentoring to other team members on data architecture principles and best practices.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in data architecture and modelling working in an enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar experience.
  • DAMA Certified or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
  • Experience in providing technical and architectural oversight for systems and projects that are required to be reliable, massively scalable, highly available, and maintainable.
  • Experience working with Azure related data, analytics and AI + Machine learning products (desirable).
  • TOGAF or similar Architecture modelling framework certification and or experience working with LeanIX or SparxEA Architecture modelling tools (desirable).
