Virgin Australia Airlines is seeking a Data Analyst – Technology Enablement in Brisbane to turn complex portfolio and financial data into clear insights for senior leaders. The role sits in the IT Portfolio Orchestration and Reporting team, supporting reporting, forecasting, and month-end activities across our technology portfolio.

You will use Excel and Power BI extensively, build financial models, and explore AI, Python, and SQL to automate tasks and improve reporting accuracy, clarity and

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis, reporting and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and modelling.
• Experience with financial data including actuals, forecasts and variances.
• Experience creating/maintaining Power BI dashboards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate and analyse financial, resource and portfolio data from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain advanced Excel models for project allocation and workforce charging.
• Analyse portfolio trends, including contractor and permanent workforce.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards and supporting Excel/PowerPoint reporting.
• Use Python and SQL to automate analysis and improve reporting.
