Job summary

Verse is seeking a Data Analyst / Data Engineer to join a collaborative technology team. You will work across operational data, analytics and data engineering, with hands-on ETL, data pipelines and dashboard development.

The role is an 18‑month fixed-term contract, offering exposure to cloud platforms and geospatial data while expanding data engineering capability. The position focuses on transforming data into actionable insights, building scalable pipelines, and delivering reporting solutions

Qualifications

• Experience combining data analysis with data engineering responsibilities.
• Hands-on ETL and data pipeline development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehousing (e.g. Redshift or DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of geospatial data concepts (GeoJSON, coordinates, mapping).
• Strong dashboard, visualization and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse operational data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and automated integration processes.
• Acquire, transform, cleanse and validate data from multiple operational systems.
• Improve the availability and usability of data for downstream analysis.
• Develop dashboards, visualisations and operational reporting.
• Support data quality, governance and metadata activities.
• Assist with requirements definition and data modelling.
• Contribute to uplift of data and analytics solutions.
• Translate business requirements into practical analytical solutions.
