Job summary

Recruitment Hive is assisting a prominent government agency focused on health research, funding, promotion and regulation. We seek two Data Analysts/Data Scientists (APS6 equivalent) to deliver statistical analyses, build dashboards and support data assets for policy and operational decisions.

Role involves governance of key data feeds and working with large, complex datasets. Closes 30 July 2026 at 10am; strong data storytelling required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Qlik, SQL and Power BI, with experience in other programming languages.
• Data modelling, data integration and management of complex data structures.
• Experience with large and complex datasets.
• Ability to write clearly for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with predictive models and machine learning highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver statistical analysis and data-driven insights to inform policy, program management and operational decision making.
• Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and analytical products to support stakeholder needs.
• Support access to, integration and use of key data assets and feeds, including PLIDA, NHDH and other internal and external datasets, to strengthen data linkage, analytical capability and evidence-based decision-making.
• Support the ongoing management, governance, enhancement and stakeholder use of the AIR Gov-to-Gov feed, ensuring the quality, reliability and accessibility of data provided to jurisdictions and other authorised users.
