Job summary

Paxus is seeking an experienced Data Acquisition Data Engineer to support a large federal government data environment in Melbourne. The role focuses on acquiring and moving data from enterprise sources into a central data platform, building ingestion pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi, and SQL Server within a secure, enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with Azure Data Factory
• 1+ year experience with Apache NiFi
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• NV1 security clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data acquisition and ingestion pipelines
• Move data from enterprise source systems into a central data platform
• Develop data workflows using Azure Data Factory and Apache NiFi
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server and other enterprise data sources
• Troubleshoot pipeline, data movement and connectivity issues
• Support testing, deployment and ongoing operation of data ingestion solutions
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams
• Promote reliable, repeatable data engineering practices
