Early Years Alliance is offering a CYP-PT Therapies Trainee position as part of the NHSE-funded CYP Psychological Training Programme. The post involves applying taught methods to practical interventions for children, young people and families, with a caseload and coursework to complete.

The role is based in Lewisham, London, with weekly teaching at King’s College London and travel requirements. The scheme emphasises equity, inclusion and evidence-based practice for CYP mental health.

Qualifications

• Commitment to postgraduate training and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to complete academic work at postgraduate diploma level.
• Eligibility: registerable professional qualification in a relevant field; minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s in psychology, social work or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CYP Psychological Training Programme core principles: accessibility, accountability, participation, awareness and evidence-based practice.
• Work within a CYP-MH Parenting Team; provide interventions based on NICE guidelines.
• Travel to King’s College London Denmark Hill Campus for weekly teaching during training year.
