Job summary

ACT Government's Health and Community Services Directorate seeks a Practice Leader, Capability Development to strengthen workforce capability across Children, Youth and Families. You will lead induction, training, coaching and practice support to raise the quality and consistency of trauma-informed, child-focused practice.

Working across strategic and operational settings, you will partner with senior leaders and frontline staff to drive continuous improvement and better outcomes for children,

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare, Social Science or related discipline.
• At least five (5) years of practical experience working with children, youth and/or families in a social work/case management role.
• This position does require a Working with Vulnerable People Check. Prior to commencing in this role, a current WWVP registration will be required.
• Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
• Cultural awareness and capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
