Job summary

The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) in Perth invites applications for a permanent Manager Cyber Security to lead our security program and protect WA’s digital environment. This senior role oversees policy, risk management, and technical controls across a cloud-first landscape.

Based in Perth at 140 William Street, the role offers a competitive salary from A$144,755 to A$154,717 per year (pro rata) under the Public Sector CSA Agreement 2024, with flexible working

Qualifications

• Experience implementing a digital information and cyber security work program in a cloud-first environment.
• Experience responding to, containing and recovering from cyber security incidents.
• Experience leading a cyber security team.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, strengthen and enhance security procedures, policies, and processes.
• Manage and mitigate security risks, monitor threats, and oversee penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Report on security risks to stay ahead of threats.
