Job summary

Linde Material Handling Australia is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management to join our team in Sydney/Huntingwood with a hybrid work setup (2 days in the office, 3 days remote). You will own the vulnerability lifecycle, perform pentesting, and drive automation initiatives across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity, strong offensive security skills, and experience with security tooling integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience with hands‑on vulnerability management, penetration testing and security automation.
• Strong offensive security skills across web, API and infrastructure.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and API integrations with security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal penetration testing across infrastructure, web applications, APIs and cloud environments, providing actionable findings and remediation guidance.
• Lead enterprise vulnerability assessments ensuring broad coverage across systems, applications and cloud environments, identifying vulnerabilities with clear risk context for remediation prioritization.
• Architect, operate and enhance the enterprise vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure for scalability and integration with security workflows.
• Design and implement automation strategies to optimize detection, assessment and remediation workflows.
• Develop and maintain security tooling, scripts and platform integrations to support vulnerability management capabilities.
• Evaluate and operationalize AI-driven approaches to improve vulnerability detection, risk prioritization and security assessment workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes, policies and standards.
