As a Cyber Security Engineer / SME in Sydney, you will provide hands-on engineering across security monitoring, IAM, PAM and security automation, working with technical and business stakeholders.

This permanent, hybrid role offers the chance to influence security standards, designs and operational practices while developing practical, scalable controls

Qualifications

• At least seven years of experience in cyber security engineering, security operations or architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Datadog.
• Experience designing or implementing IAM solutions.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Okta.
• Experience implementing and managing PAM using CyberArk.
• Strong scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
• Experience developing security monitoring, detection and alerting capabilities.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, SSO, MFA and RBAC.
• Experience integrating security tools through APIs.
• Knowledge of security incident investigation, response and remediation.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Work with technical and business stakeholders to identify security risks and improve controls.
• Design and implement practical, scalable security solutions.
