Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking a Senior Associate in our Cybersecurity & Privacy team to safeguard clients against evolving cyber threats and privacy risks. You will design, implement, and uplift security controls and governance across industries, partnering with clients to reduce risk and enable secure growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering cybersecurity and/or privacy engagements, ideally within a consulting, advisory, or client-facing environment.
• Practical experience applying and leveraging recognised security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, Essential Eight).
• Strong knowledge across cyber risk governance and compliance, translating complex concepts for technical and executive audiences.
• Experience producing high-quality deliverables and managing workstreams to time, budget and quality expectations.
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative culture.
• Relevant industry certifications (or working towards) such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or similar are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cybersecurity and privacy engagements across a range of clients and industries, taking ownership of workstreams and producing high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and maturity reviews against recognised frameworks and standards.
• Advise clients on cyber risk, governance, privacy, and regulatory obligations, translating concepts into actionable recommendations.
• Support the design, implementation, and uplift of security controls, policies, and frameworks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities and client presentations.
• Coach, guide, and review the work of junior team members to enable development and a high-performing team culture.
• Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, technologies, and regulatory changes to improve client outcomes.
