Job summary

NDIA is seeking an EL1 Cyber Operations Security Expert to lead proactive monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence efforts. You will work under the Director of Cyber Security Operations, focusing on cloud security (Azure/AWS), endpoint and network defense, and data protection using tools like Sentinel, Defender, Azure Security Centre, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security operations in a government or large organisation.
• Knowledge of cloud security, endpoint and network protection, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents using security tools.
• Analyse security event data and identify suspicious activity across networks and systems.
• Lead incident response activities including investigation, forensics, and chain of custody.
• Respond to events using SOPs and act as SME in cloud security and threat mitigation
• Develop phishing simulations and threat intel updates.
• Collaborate to implement security controls and mentor junior staff.
• Produce incident reports and threat briefs for leadership.
