Job summary

Atmos Australia and New Zealand is seeking an Associate to join the First Response Team, working directly with clients, senior lawyers and cyber specialists on high-stakes cyber and privacy events. You’ll support incident management, regulatory engagement and strategic advice while collaborating with forensic, crisis communications and technical experts.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with expertise in privacy, technology, regulatory, disputes, investigations, or cyber-related matters.
• Strong interest in cyber incident response, privacy and digital risk.
• Good judgement and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to analyse complex legal and technical issues and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative mindset across legal, cyber and crisis management disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support frontline incident response matters, working directly with clients, senior lawyers, cyber specialists and the Atmos First Response and Remediation Panel.
• Assist Partners, Directors and Senior Associates on high-profile and complex matters.
• Aid incident management, regulatory engagement and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with cyber, forensic, crisis communications and technical specialists.
• Develop expertise in cyber security, privacy law, digital risk and incident response.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
