Job summary

Mars is seeking a Commissioning, Validation & Start-up Lead for the Asquith site. You will own end-to-end commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities for major capital investments, working with site, regional, and global CVS standards.

You will bridge engineering and operations, ensuring on-time ramp-up within budget and delivering high safety and quality. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Track record in commissioning, qualification, validation, and ramp-up in FMCG, food & beverage, pharma, or advanced manufacturing.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or mechatronics engineering or strong operational leadership in automated lines.
• Exceptional stakeholder management across operations, engineering, Q&FS, R&D and HSE.
• Ability to draft robust technical documentation and SOPs with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up for major capital projects at Asquith.
• Ensure adherence to CVS Playbook, testing protocols, and SOPs across equipment.
• Manage CVS project budget with disciplined tracking and resource optimisation.
• Partner with Value Stream Manager to align cross-functional teams around delivery timelines.
• Provide indirect leadership and coaching to multidisciplinary SMEs.
• Deliver training to upskill site operators and technicians.
• Establish handover criteria and oversee asset transition into operations.
• Identify pinch points, drive root-cause analysis, and report progress at gates.
