Job summary

Henning Harders is seeking a Compiler/Classifier to join our Customs team. The role can be filled at our Australian offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.

You will compile and classify import declarations, assess them for regulatory compliance and handle COLS lodgements while keeping up to date with legislation and industry changes. The ideal candidate has 12+ months of relevant experience, a Diploma of Customs Broking (TLI50822) or is enrolled, and strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• 12 months+ of knowledge and experience compiling and classifying a range of commodities.
• Diploma in Customs Broking or enrolment in progress.
• Understanding of government regulations and law, international shipping regulations, customs procedures and INCOTERMS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service internally and externally for technical advice matters.
• Compile and classify import declarations.
• Assess declarations in line with regulatory expectations.
• Handle lodgments with biosecurity via COLS.
• Keep up to date with related legislation and industry changes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Work collaboratively to ensure best outcomes for the customer and business.
