Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education in Maryborough seeks a seasoned educator to lead and shape Sport/HPE learning and teaching programs. You will drive curriculum delivery, supervise staff, and apply research to improve classroom practice.

With at least 5 years of teaching experience and Queensland registration, you will manage budgets, engage stakeholders, and foster collaborative growth. A Middle Leader role offers progression and a supportive school community.

Summary

Join St Mary's College, Maryborough, and play a key role in driving the school’s mission by leading and shaping our dynamic Sport/ HPE learning and teaching programs.

• Location: St Marys College - Maryborough (S)
• Start date: January, 2027
• Work hours: 30.00
• Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + Middle Leader Allowance (Tier 2) + 12.75% Super (commensurate with experience)
• Status: Full Time Fixed Term/Variation

This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2029). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Leading the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development of teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
• Supervising and inducting teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
• Analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions
• Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of
• budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
