The Opportunity

This executive role sits on the leadership team and owns the full technology strategy. The CTO will lead engineering, AI/ML, data science, infrastructure, and platform delivery—overseeing everything from model research and clinical‑grade validation to global‑scale product deployment. Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy
  • Define and execute the long‑term technology roadmap.
  • Drive innovation in multimodal AI (computer vision, audio, video) for health screening.
  • Ensure technology aligns with product, clinical, regulatory, and commercial priorities.
AI, Data & Product Development
  • Lead development, validation, and deployment of production‑grade AI/ML models.
  • Establish robust MLOps pipelines, data governance, and continuous model improvement.
  • Oversee accuracy, safety, fairness, reliability, and clinical validation processes.
Engineering Leadership
  • Own platform architecture across mobile, backend, cloud, and DevOps.
  • Build and scale a secure, high‑availability global platform.
  • Implement engineering best practices, automation, CI/CD, and system monitoring.
Regulatory & Compliance
  • Work closely with clinical and regulatory teams to meet compliance requirements (e.g., TGA, FDA, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Embed privacy‑by‑design and responsible AI governance throughout the organisation.
Team & Culture
  • Build, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams across engineering, AI, and infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Enterprise & Integration
  • Support enterprise customer integrations, onboarding, APIs, SDKs, and custom technical requirements.
  • Represent technology in customer meetings, partner discussions, and investor conversations.
Experience Required

Essential

  • 10+ years in senior technical leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of AI, etc.).
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML, ideally in computer vision, audio analysis, or other multimodal systems.
  • Proven experience scaling AI products from prototype to global production environments.
  • Strong background in cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP), DevOps, and MLOps.
  • Experience in regulated environments—ideally healthcare, medtech, or safety‑critical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow high‑performing technical teams.

Desirable

  • Experience working with clinical teams, medical validation, or digital health.
  • Understanding of medical device compliance and security architecture.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience leading enterprise SaaS integrations.
