Job summary

IMC Trading in Sydney is seeking a Crypto Trader to provide APAC-hours coverage for our Zug-based Crypto team. You will own live trading activities, monitor strategies, and ensure risk controls during Sydney hours.

The role focuses on token market making, DeFi, and CeFi delta-one strategies, operating and optimizing automated trading systems with Python and internal tools, while collaborating tightly with global colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and trade investigations.
• Ability to stay calm and make timely decisions during incidents.
• Good communication and collaboration with traders and developers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live trading strategies, positions, exposures, and PnL during APAC hours.
• Configure and manage trading parameters, limits, and controls.
• Investigate urgent issues and unusual PnL movements.
• Act during volatile markets or incidents.
• Use Python and internal tools to analyse trades and strategy performance.
• Support rollout and scaling across tokens, venues, and protocols.
• Provide clear handovers between Sydney and Zug teams.
• Communicate with external parties to resolve issues and requests.
