POSITION

Full-time position for a Crowd Controller is available in Kununurra 6743 WA.

SKILLS
You must have
  • At least an AQF (or equivalent) cert II or above + 1 year of relevant employment experience.
  • Current Security and Crowd Control licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Australian Driver’s licence
  • Minimum triple vaccinated for Covid-19

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and manage the movement and behaviour of crowds at events and licensed venues to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Control entry and exit points to venues, ensuring compliance with capacity limits, licensing conditions and venue rules.
  • Check identification and verify age requirements for entry to licensed premises.
  • Observe patron behaviour and identify early signs of conflict, intoxication, or disorderly conduct.
  • Intervene calmly and professionally to prevent disturbances, using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Remove or deny entry to individuals who pose a risk to the safety of others or breach venue conditions.
  • Work closely with venue management and emergency services to respond to incidents if they occur.
  • Provide assistance to patrons and directions as required while maintaining authority and professionalism.
  • Conduct internal and external patrols of the venue or event area to identify hazards or unsafe situations.
  • Monitor designated areas such as dance floors, bar areas, entrances and exits to prevent overcrowding.
  • Respond to emergencies by following established procedures, including evacuation or lockdown where required.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports for any significant issues, injuries, disturbances or breaches.
  • Ensure personal presentation and conduct meet professional and licensing standards at all times.
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation, licensing requirements and company procedures relating to crowd control operations.
  • Implementing measures to prevent crime such as maintaining a visible presence, conducting security assessments, or implementing security protocols to minimize the risk of theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access.
SALARY

Paid above Security Services Industry Award 2020. Annual earnings are dependent upon actual rosters plus remote accommodation assistance allowance.

$27.00 - $55.00 per hour
