Job summary

Employment Specialists Ltd is seeking a Reinsurance Credit Controller based in Ipswich, Australia, on a hybrid basis. You will actively manage client accounts, pursue timely payments, and ensure accurate records while working with international currencies.

You will collaborate across teams to resolve payment issues, uphold regulatory compliance, and build strong client relationships, with salary levels reflecting experience in the insurance sector.

Qualifications

• Experience with Insurance allocations and settlements.
• Strong negotiation and problem-resolution skills.

• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
• Experience in Insurance industry preferred and salary impact noted.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage client accounts to deadlines and high standards.
• Main point of contact for payment collection.
• Ensure secure, auditable handling of client monies.
• Timely collection and minimisation of funding gaps.
• Maintain up-to-date records and reconcile cash daily.
• Review and reconcile cash on a daily basis.
• Identify debtor issues and negotiate resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and external regulations.

This is a challenging role where you will be dealing with other large organisations and also working closely with a wide range of colleagues from many other teams to resolve payment and accounts issues.

Some of these accounts are International, so experience of dealing with foreign currencies would be an advantage although full training is provided, to ensure you are able to provide a first-class service to your clients.

Our Client works on a hybrid basis so is comfortable with you being able to manage your working week between being at home and in the office.

As a Reinsurance Credit Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

• Actively manage your Client's accounts to a high standard and within deadlines
• Act as the main point of contact for all matters relating to the collection of payments
• Ensure the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client's monies
• Timely collection and payment of monies, chasing and minimisation of funding
• Maintain up to date and accurate records
• Review and reconcile cash on a daily basis
• Identify debtor related problems and negotiate to resolve
• Compliance with internal accounting procedures and external regulations

To be successful as a Reinsurance Credit Controller you will demonstrate:

• Experience of handling Insurance related allocations and settlements
• Good problem resolution and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Experience within the Insurance Industry will enable you to attract a salary higher in the salary range
