Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in hairdressing or a recognised hairdressing apprenticeship completed.
• Proven experience working as a hairdresser in a salon environment.
• Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to client needs.
• A creative eye with an understanding of current and classic hair trends.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support colleagues.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
• Knowledge of hair care products and the ability to make informed recommendations to clients.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new techniques and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of hairdressing services including cutting, styling, colouring, and treatments to clients
• Consult with clients to understand their requirements, recommend appropriate styles and treatments, and achieve desired results
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation in accordance with industry regulations and salon policies
• Keep detailed client records and notes to ensure consistency and personalised service on future visits
• Operate and maintain hairdressing tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Stay up to date with current hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues when required
• Manage your own appointment schedule efficiently and punctually
• Maintain a professional and welcoming appearance at all times
