Job summary

Coast Bay Kitchens & Cabinets is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker / Joinery Installer in Minchinbury NSW. You will design, fabricate, assemble and install cabinets and woodwork for residential, commercial or industrial spaces.

You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, use power/hand tools, apply finishes and install cabinetry with care and precision. A trade certificate or equivalent plus relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent and 3 years of experience; OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in related field.
• Proven experience as Detailed Cabinet / Joinery maker, wood carver.
• Proficiency in using hand and power carving tools.
• Strong artistic and creative abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints, drawings, or client specifications to determine the design.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, laminates, or other materials.
• Using power tools and hand tools like saws, routers, drills, and sanders.
• Making standard cabinets, curved cabinets, wall panelling, battens, louvers, finger pull edging, carving, etc.
• Applying finishes such as varnish, stain, or paint.
• Transporting and delivering cabinets to job sites.
• Preparing and leveling surfaces for proper installation.
• Assembling and securing cabinets to walls, floors, or ceilings.
• Adjusting doors, hinges, and drawers for smooth operation.
• Repairing or modifying existing cabinetry as needed.
