Job summary

Fashion & Retail Personnel in Australia is seeking an exceptional luxury bridal / couture pattern cutter to join our team and translate exquisite designs into impeccably fitting, technically sophisticated gowns.

You will work closely with design and production teams on corsetry, complex silhouettes and delicate fabrics, delivering patterns for both couture one-offs and high-end production. Relocation and visa sponsorship may be considered for suitable candidates from the UK/EU.

Qualifications

• Proven pattern-cutting ability in couture/bridal.
• Experience with corsetry and internal structure.
• Strong understanding of garment engineering and fit.

Responsibilities

• Create precise patterns for luxury bridal and couture gowns.
• Develop complex silhouettes and intricate constructions.
• Apply corsetry expertise to internal structure and foundation garments.
• Drape and develop patterns as required.
• Conduct fittings and implement detailed technical adjustments.
• Work with delicate fabrics, lace, beading and couture embellishment.
• Collaborate with designers, sample makers and production team.
• Ensure exceptional fit, proportion, construction and finish.
• Develop patterns for both one-off couture and luxury production.
