Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer for Margate Magistrates Court, with a focus on access control, customer service and incident response. The role is site-based, Monday to Friday, with a varied shift pattern between 07:30 and 18:30.

Ideal candidates will hold an SIA licence, have relevant security experience, and be able to obtain enhanced DBS/BS7858 clearance. Opportunities for training and progression are highlighted within the Courts & Tribunals Service framework.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence and security experience required.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Right to Work in the UK and DBS/BS7858 clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, professional service to court users.
• Control building access and follow security procedures.
• Operate CCTV, screening equipment and alarms; respond to incidents.
• Conduct searches and monitor areas; report incidents.
• Maintain high professional standards and safety compliance.
