Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Melbourne seeks a Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer for the Melbourne Bail and Remand Court (BARC). This fixed-term, full-time role supports the Court Assessment & Prosecutions Service through risk assessments, reports and prosecution work.

The successful candidate will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based advice, and manage individuals with challenging behaviours, in line with guidelines and public service standards.

Qualificações

• Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide human services in needs assessments and development of interventions.
• Pays attention to words, expression and body language; Recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion.
• Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Provide timely, high quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders.
• Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety.
• Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines.
