About the role: Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking talented corporate lawyers at Associate and Senior Associate level to join its highly regarded Sydney Corporate practice.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a sophisticated international transactional practice advising leading Australian and global corporates, private equity sponsors, financial investors, and major institutions on some of the market's most significant and complex transactions.

The practice has a broad corporate offering spanning private M&A, public M&A, private equity, joint ventures, strategic investments, capital raisings, and broader corporate advisory work, with lawyers regularly involved in complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

The private equity practice is particularly strong, advising leading global and Australian sponsors across the investment lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, portfolio company transactions, minority investments, management equity arrangements, and related corporate matters. The broader M&A practice also acts on significant acquisitions, divestments, public company transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments, providing exposure to sophisticated transactions across a range of sectors.

The work is highly international in nature, with the opportunity to work alongside lawyers and clients across the firm's global network on cross-border transactions. The team operates at the intersection of corporate/M&A, private capital and broader transactional disciplines, providing excellent exposure to complex matters and sophisticated clients.

About you:

• 3–8 years' post-qualification experience in corporate/M&A, private equity or a closely related transactional practice.
• Strong experience from a leading Australian or international law firm.
• Experience across one or more of private M&A, public M&A, private equity, joint ventures, capital raisings, or broader corporate transactions.
• Strong technical capability, commercial judgement, and the ability to take responsibility for matters with a high degree of autonomy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior lawyers, clients, and colleagues across jurisdictions.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, and collegiate team environment.
• Strong academic achievement is preferred.
