Job summary

Lawyers Weekly is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Lawyer at Associate level in Sydney. You will work in a generalist commercial advisory role, develop robust policies and procedures, and conduct contract negotiations and transactions with PPSA knowledge and insolvency expertise.

You will act for subsidiaries of multinationals, large enterprises, SMEs or government bodies, advising directors on duties and dealing with M&A, disputes, and business-structure matters, with a focus on clear,

• Generalist commercial advisory background expected.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement commercial policies and procedures.
• Negotiate contracts and complete commercial transactions with PPSA expertise.
• Advise subsidiaries of multinationals and manage mergers & acquisitions.
• Advise directors on duties and respond to Director Penalty Notices.
• Handle Creditor's Statutory Demands and insolvency issues.

Act on behalf of subsidiaries of multinationals, large commercial enterprises, SMEs, public companies or government agencies. Regularly be called upon to advise directors on their duties, manage mergers and acquisitions, resolve high level commercial disputes, determine business structures and assist in dealing with Director Penalty Notices (DPN) and Creditor's Statutory Demands.
