Mills Oakley is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Sydney Corporate Advisory team on a full-time basis. You will support M&A partners, work closely with clients and partners, and contribute to a market-leading practice.

The role offers exposure to domestic and international clients and opportunities for progression. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years in corporate transactional work, strong client skills, and a drive to contribute to a growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a reputable corporate transactional practice.
• Strong technical legal expertise in mergers & acquisitions and equity arrangements.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A partners on a range of buy- and sell-side transactions.

The Role

Our Sydney Corporate Advisory team is growing, and we are seeking a talented Senior Associate to join on a full-time basis supporting the M&A partners in the Group as we continue to build out a market leading practice. You will work closely with the Corporate Partners and their clients. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain exceptional experience playing a pivotal role in the growth of Mills Oakley’s Corporate Practice, advising on a range of M&A and private equity transactions and providing expert legal advice and guidance to several leading domestic and international corporations and private equity funds. You will also support with business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice. The role provides genuine opportunities for career progression and promotion.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years’ experience in a reputable corporate transactional practice, be driven and have a desire to be part of a market leading corporate team, advising on both the buy side and sell side of M&A transactions. We are seeking an individual who is keen to learn and build their career, working for high quality domestic and international clients on market leading transactions. The role will provide the successful candidate with exceptional experience and training, not just in technical legal matters but also in client relations, whilst being part of a fun and dynamic team in one of the fastest growing law firms in the country. The successful candidate will be personable with good client skills, have a strong background in corporate transactional work, mergers and acquisitions, ideally with experience in competitive sale processes, private equity and complex equity arrangements. The candidate should demonstrate excellent legal expertise and a client-focused approach.
