Job summary

Oasis Partners is seeking a Corporate Advisor for its Sydney CBD office to work with Partners on live strategic advisory and Sell-side M&A matters for owners of businesses in the $3M–$100M EV range.

You will handle analysis, materials, and project management across multiple matters, counsel analysts, and coordinate workstreams. The role requires 8+ years in professional services, strong financial fluency, and comfort presenting to owners. On-site four days weekly in Sydney.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in professional services.
• Financial fluency and ability to interpret mid-sized business documents.
• Ability to present directly to business owners and hold your own in a room with them.
• Strong multi-tasking and multi-workstream management skills.
• Willingness to learn Salesforce and rely on MS365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Scope, run and close fixed-scope strategic advisory engagements and workshops.
• Support end-to-end sell-side M&A transactions, including buyer outreach and due diligence flow.
• Analyse financial statements and corporate documents of mid-sized businesses.
• Prepare and present findings to business owners with the Partner.
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and keep the client informed of progress and risks.
• Coach and review Analysts and Interns on matters.

Corporate Advisor, Strategic Advisory & Sell-side M&A | M&A Advisory Firm | Sydney CBD

Oasis Partners has spent over 40 years advising the owners of established private businesses on strategy, commercials and succession. We're growing our advisory bench and looking for a Corporate Advisor who wants to work alongside our Partners on live client matters, someone who would rather be solving a real problem for a business owner than polishing slides nobody reads.

About the Role

This is a client-facing role supporting Partners to deliver both Strategic Advisory engagements and Sell-side M&A transactions for owners of businesses in the $3M~$100M Enterprise Value range. You will work across several matters at once, taking responsibility for the analysis, the materials, and the project management that keep each one moving forward.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting Partners to scope, run and close out fixed-scope strategic advisory engagements, including analysis, workshop preparation, and reporting
• Supporting sell-side transactions end-to-end: building potential acquirer lists, conducting buyer outreach (comfortable on the phone), and managing due diligence information flow
• Analysing financial statements and corporate documents of mid-sized businesses, including normalised earnings and net working capital
• Preparing and presenting findings and recommendations to business owners, alongside the Partner
• Managing several concurrent workstreams across multiple matters, and keeping the Partner and the client informed of progress and risks
• Coaching and reviewing the work of Analysts and Interns on your matters

About you

• 8+ years' experience in professional services
• Financial fluency: comfort analysing and interpreting financial statements and corporate documents of mid-sized businesses
• Confident communication: the ability to present directly to business owners and to hold your own in a room with them
• A motivated self-starter mindset: comfortable running multiple workstreams with minimal oversight
• Tech fluency: self-sufficient across AI tools and MS365 applications, with a willingness to learn Salesforce
• The ability to work from Sydney CBD office a minimum of 4 days per week

Nice to have

• Management consulting experience
• Past exposure to midmarket businesses (5~200 staff), whether as an employee or through client service
