Job summary

Montague Farms Pty Ltd is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead financial and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will manage a high-performing team, strengthen controls, and oversee audits, tax obligations, budgeting and forecasting.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with a hybrid working arrangement after probation, with opportunities for development and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary accounting qualification and a CPA or CA designation.
• Experience leading a medium-size team.
• Experience managing an annual financial audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close and consolidation, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow.
• Meet statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and maintain compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Oversee tax obligations, including GST, FBT, income tax, PAYG and payroll tax.
• Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity, including review of reconciliations.
• Lead the year-end external audit and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, and drive reporting automation and process improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop the financial control and consolidation team.

About the Role

Montague Farms is looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to take charge of our financial and statutory reporting, making sure it is accurate, timely and compliant. Reporting to the General Manager Finance and Strategic Programs, you’ll lead and develop a high-performing team, strengthen our financial controls and keep our reporting on track.

What you will do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close and consolidation, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow

About you

• Tertiary accounting qualification and a CPA or CA qualification
• Demonstrated experience managing a medium size team
• Demonstrated experience managing an annual financial audit
• Statutory and tax accounting experience in a medium to large for-profit business
• Excellent technical accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills, plus strong Microsoft Office skills
• A positive, self-motivated, respectful and inclusive approach to leadership
• Experience in FMCG, agribusiness or other food industries highly regarded
