Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia in Corowa is seeking casual Registered Nurses and Registered Paramedics to join the Mobile Patient Care team for non-emergency transport across NSW. You will assess and treat patients on-road, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with adherence to RFDS MPC guidelines.

The role requires current AHPRA registration (or pending for Paramedics), a FULL NSW driver’s licence, and availability across a 7-day roster.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Registered Paramedic or Division 1 Registered Nurse.
• Hold current AHPRA registration (or pending approval for Paramedics).
• Hold a FULL NSW Driver's licence and ability to drive in city and country traffic.
• Availability to work across a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road.

RFDS Mobile Patient Care is seeking casual Registered Nurses and Registered Paramedics to join our dedicated team in Corowa. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centred care during the non-emergency transport of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. You’ll work in accordance with RFDS MPC policies and Non-Emergency Patient Escort guidelines, ensuring safe and compassionate care throughout each journey.

Compensation

Base rate $34.63/hr, plus 25% casual loading, and additional benefits.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
• Provide high quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
• Assess the effectiveness of any intervention in accordance with all RFDS MPC guidelines, NEPT regulations and within prescribed scope of practice.
• Perform independently and problem solve within established policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Maintain an understanding of RFDS MPC policies and procedures and NEPT regulations to support best practice and patient outcome

Qualifications and experience required

Required:

• Qualified as a Registered Paramedic or Division 1 Registered Nurse
• Hold current AHPRA registration (or pending approval for Paramedics)
• Hold a FULL NSW Drivers licence and have the ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
• Availability to work across a 7-day roster

Desirable:

• Experience working in the non-emergency patient transport sector in an in equal role.
• Knowledge of NSW NEPT service specifications.

Mandatory vaccination policy
