Rio Tinto is seeking a Coordinator Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) to lead major shutdown and maintenance activities across Pilbara sites. You’ll work with supervisors, planners and contractors to coordinate safe, efficient execution of large-scale works.

The role focuses on leadership development within a heavy industry environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the MEM fleet.

• Current Australian Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

About The Role

We are seeking multiple Coordinator Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) professionals to join our Major Works team supporting shutdown and major maintenance activities across Rio Tinto's Pilbara operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Working closely with Supervisors, Maintainers, Planners and Contractors, you will play a key role in coordinating the safe and efficient execution of major works across Rio Tinto's heavy mobile equipment fleet.

As part of Rio Tinto's Major Works team, you'll support the delivery of large-scale shutdown and maintenance activities across multiple Pilbara operations. Working alongside experienced maintenance and operational leaders, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical mining equipment while developing your leadership career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Required for Success

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• Trade qualification in a mechanical discipline or a relevant engineering qualification.
• Demonstrated experience within Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM), mining or a similar heavy industry environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of heavy mobile equipment.
• Leadership capability with the ability to influence, coach and support others.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current Australian Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Helpful for Success

• Experience coordinating shutdowns, major works or large maintenance campaigns.
• Previous leadership, acting leadership or supervisory experience.
• Forklift licence. Dogging and Rigging tickets.
• Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
• Experience managing contractors within a mining or industrial environment.
• Understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling and work management processes.
• Experience supporting reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
