Job summary

Launch Housing is seeking a senior leader to oversee service delivery across multiple programs in Melbourne. You will guide teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients and communities.

You will supervise and support performance development, foster collaboration across teams, and advocate for clients with partner agencies while managing rostering and resources for a 24/7 site.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in human services, social work or other relevant discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy and systems.
• Experience supervising staff who work with people with complex needs.
• Ability to lead, develop staff and promote accountability.

Maximum-term, part-time role (60.8 hours per fortnight) based at ESCG, ending mid-Jan 2027.

This is an FTE 0.8 position working a roster of 2 days and 2 afternoon shifts each week. These are:

Monday & Tuesday - 7:30am-3:36pm
Thursday & Friday - 11:54am-8:00pm

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing direction to team to ensure the delivery of consistent, effective and high-quality programs and services.
• Providing high quality leadership and program coordination to teams.
• Providing supervision and support the performance development of staff in accordance with relevant Launch Housing policies and procedures.
• Ensuring a consistent and best-practice approach to case management.
• Contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions to improve housing and wellbeing outcomes for clients.
• Advocating on behalf of clients with other agencies to ensure access and delivery of effective services.
• Supporting and responding to critical incidents on clients and staff.
• Managing resource and staffing needs including but not limited to recruitment, best practice rostering for a 24/7 site and oversee the induction / onboarding of new staff.

What we’re looking for (key selection criteria):

• A tertiary qualification in human services, social work or other relevant discipline (desired).
• Demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others towards effective client solutions.
• Experience supporting staff who work with people with complex needs.
• Proven ability to provide supervision that is supportive and promotes professional development and accountability.
• Leadership qualities including a high degree of initiative and analytical skills.
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• A valid Victorian driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.

$58.37 - $60.95 an hour
