Randwick City Council is seeking a Coordinator Community Development to lead a skilled team in delivering community wellbeing and inclusion initiatives across the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. You will drive social strategies, coordinate activities and build strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders to enhance services and participation.
The role requires relevant qualifications in social work/health promotion and demonstrated capacity building, with proven leadership and project management

Status: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: From $135,901 - $156,286 per annum + 12% superannuation + leaseback vehicle/sustainability allowance

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Community Development Team is seeking a Coordinator Community Development.
The Coordinator Community Development leads a team that helps communities build capacity and social capital so they have access to the information, services and social networks to withstand vulnerability and better thrive. Informed by Council's informing strategies and social plans, the team provides information, referral and sector capacity building that meets the identified need and aspirations of community. The Coordinator develops strong stakeholder relationships to identify partnership opportunities and collaborative practice that facilitate activities to promote community participation.
Lead the team to design and implement community development collaborations and programs intended to increase levels of community wellbeing and inclusion
Lead the team to inform and implement social strategies and plans that respond to current and future community need
Implement effective stakeholder and community engagement processes, networks, and partnerships that advance community development initiatives in Randwick City
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Development or Health Promotion
Relevant experience in community development and capacity building
Experience leading a team, with the demonstrated ability to oversee workplans and all aspects of project management
Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholder groups
