Job summary

CatholicCare Wollongong is opening a brand-new Early Learning Centre in Campbelltown. We seek a qualified cook for a permanent-part-time role, five days a week, up to 55 hours per fortnight. You will prepare nutritious meals, uphold food safety, manage allergies, and work with educators to create welcoming mealtimes.

NSW WWCC required; first aid and other certifications preferred. Join a not-for-profit organisation committed to child safety and inclusive care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Food Handling or equivalent qualification (desired, not essential) or relevant experience.
• Valid certifications including First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain.
• A NSW Working with Children Check is current.
• Experience preparing nutritious meals and managing kitchen operations in early childhood or related settings.
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, hygiene standards and allergy management.
• Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills, including stock control and ordering.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team and child-safe practices.

Cook - New Campbelltown Early Learning Centre

About the role:

As we proudly approach the opening of our brand-new, ultra-modern Early Learning Centre in Campbelltown, we have a permanent-part-time opportunity for a qualified cook to play a foundational role in establishing this centre!

This role will see you working Monday to Friday for up to 55 hours per fortnight.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting children's health and wellbeing by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks.
• Maintaining strong food safety and hygiene standards.
• Diligently adhering to child allergy & dietary action plans.
• Preparing meal plans and ingredient orders.
• Working closely with the Centre Director and Educators.
• Creating positive mealtime experiences in a warm, inclusive environment.

What we offer you:

• $26.93 to $29.45 pe r hour depending on your qualification and experience

What You Bring to the Role:
