What do we need you to do?

You’ll bring culinary expertise and heartfelt companionship to residents in our residential home, enhancing their independence and enriching their quality of life.

  • Facilitate and oversee the quality, timely and effective preparation of food in line with the unique needs of clients in an environment where dietary requirements can change rapidly.
  • Plan and develop in consultation with Service Manager and residents rotating menus where appropriate.
  • Prepare and cook all daily meals and maintain the storage and protection of food and catering supplies for optimum use.
  • Ensure all food preparation and catering practices adhere to hygiene and safety principles and free of any hazards.
What do we need you to bring?

Ideally, we’re looking for previous experience in aged care with cook fresh/cook chill methodology

  • Cert III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery or similar or demonstrated competence in the provision of catering services.
  • Demonstrated competence in the purchasing, storage and efficient use of food supplies within the endorsed budget guidelines.
  • Awareness of texture modified foods/controls
  • Knowledge of HACCCP principles and aware of requirements for vulnerable people under the NSW Food Regulation 2015 and responsibilities relating to food poisoning and allergens.
