Job summary

Arcare Hillside is seeking a Cook to join the team. You will prepare delicious, well-balanced meals for residents, following the Head Chef's menus and dietary requirements.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, teamwork, and delivering quality dining experiences in a supportive aged care environment. Applicants should have a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery), Australian Working Rights, and NDIS Screening or willingness to obtain.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef. Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
• Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
