BEC Engineering is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join the core Automation team, delivering specialised consulting in control system and network design for mineral processing applications. You will work closely with clients to develop specifications from P&IDs and establish PLC network architectures, programming PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.

You will conduct software simulations, bench testing and FAT testing, and support commissioning and fault finding on-site.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree with Automation/Control Systems specialization.
• Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience in automation/control systems engineering within mineral processing sector.
• Experience with consulting/engineering firms; operator experience considered.
• Proficient in PLC, HMI and SCADA programming.
• Experience with Schneider, Rockwell or GE PLCs and CITEC SCADA.
• Comfortable with testing and commissioning on-site and in-office; good client/vendor communication.

Responsabilités

• Design control systems and networks for mineral processing applications.
• Develop specifications from P&IDs and design documentation.
• Establish PLC network design using multiple architectures.
• Program PLC, HMI and SCADA.
• Conduct software simulations, bench testing and FAT testing.
• Assist commissioning, fault finding and diagnostics on operational systems.
