Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations is seeking a Contracts Advisor – Category Management to support sourcing, contracting and supplier management for Glencore Metals Australia within our WA operations.

You will contribute to category strategies, commercial analysis, and negotiations, while building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring timely procurement outcomes across mining and hydrometallurgical processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5+ years' experience in procurement, sourcing, contract administration or supplier management.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for a Contracts Advisor – Category Management to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who is supports the delivery of sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities across the Mining & HME category for Glencore Metals Australia (GMA).

You will be responsible for:

• Support the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies, delivering procurement activities in line with business requirements.
• Apply commercial analysis and data to support sourcing decisions, contract management, and value delivery.
• Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve commercial and contractual outcomes.
• Build effective stakeholder relationships and provide procurement advice to support business objectives.
• Communicate sourcing activities, contract requirements, and procurement outcomes to stakeholders.
• Deliver sourcing and procurement activities within agreed timelines and service levels.

About You

Reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Advisor and Superintendent – Category Management this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person.

You will also have:

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2 – 5+ years' experience in procurement, sourcing, contract administration or supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and contract principles, processes and best practices.
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of contract terms, supplier performance, and cost drivers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver procurement activities within agreed timelines.
• Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively across functions.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
