Amida Group seeks an experienced Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to join the Brisbane project team on a major station upgrade valued at $150m–$200m+. You will support commercial management through delivery, handling administration, cost control, and payment claims with close collaboration with the project team.

The role requires 5–10+ years in complex Design and Construct contracts, familiarity with ITC/target cost models, and robust cost reporting for large infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

  • Administering complex Design and Construct contracts during the delivery phase.
  • Experience with Incentivised Target Cost (ITC), target cost or other fully cost-reimbursable contract models would be highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in the assessment of payment claims, variations and cost reimbursement mechanisms.
  • Experience in contract administration and commercial management processes.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, rail or transport projects highly desirable.
  • Experience working within integrated project delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of project financial controls, cost reporting and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review, assess and certify monthly payment claims, including detailed verification of contractor cost submissions.
  • Ensure contractor costs are allocated against the approved Financial Control Plan and CBS.
  • Identify and accelerate commercial, contractual and cost-related issues from payment claims.
  • Assess variations and TOC adjustment events.
  • Maintain commercial registers and project records.
  • Monitor contingency usage per contract requirements.
  • Monitor contractor cost performance and cost trends.
  • Prepare commercial correspondence, notices and assessments.
  • Support monthly commercial reporting with Project Controls.

Great opportunity to join a major infrastructure project team working on a landmark $150m to $200m+ transport upgrade project.

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to join their professional project team working on a major $150m to $200m+ station upgrade project in Brisbane.

You will support the commercial management of the project through the delivery phase, with responsibility for the detailed administration, assessment and monitoring of contractor costs, payment claims, variations and Target Outturn Cost (TOC) adjustment events.

The Contract Administrator will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Project Manager, Project Director, Project Controls team and broader project delivery team. The role will support the successful commercial delivery of the project and ensure contractual, financial and commercial requirements are effectively managed throughout the delivery phase.

5 - 10+ years

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review, assess and certify monthly payment claims, including detailed verification of contractor cost submissions
  • Ensure contractor costs are appropriately allocated against the approved Financial Control Plan and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
  • Identify, investigate and accelerate commercial, contractual and cost-related issues arising from payment claim assessments
  • Assess variations, compensation events and TOC adjustment events
  • Maintain accurate commercial registers and project records
  • Review and monitor contingency usage in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Monitor contractor cost performance and provide transparency of cost trends, risks and forecast outcomes
  • Prepare commercial correspondence, notices, assessments and recommendations in accordance with the Contract
  • Support monthly commercial reporting and work closely with Project Controls to validate and report project financial performance
  • Administer interfaces with related project agreements and key stakeholders
  • Manage commercial interfaces with the Independent Certifier, Independent Safety Assessor and Independent Financial Auditor
  • Manage third‑party interface agreements and associated commercial requirements
  • Provide commercial advice and support to the Project Manager, Project Director and Commercial Manager
  • Support the broader project team to ensure commercial issues are identified and managed effectively
  • Promote accurate, timely and commercially sound decision-making across the project
