Job summary

Downunder People seeks a qualified GP to deliver primary health care services in Mount Isa and surrounding areas within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service framework. You will work with Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations, focusing on comprehensive care including maternal and child health and specialist services where available.

Qualifications

• APHRA registration required.
• Unrestricted Medicare Number.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance.
• Experience working with Indigenous families, children.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP and primary health care services to Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations.
• Deliver maternal and child health and allied health services.
• Coordinate with local health teams within Mount Isa and surrounding regions.

Based in Mount Isa this employer Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services delivers medical and primary health care services to people living in Mount Isa and parts of the surrounding region and area member of the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC) Focusing on both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Essentially these 2 key roles, will support the employer through a exciting growth and development stage while having the opportunity to work in a rich cultural clinical environment.

Providing primary health care services including, GP, Allied Health, Maternal and Child Health, as well as Specialist Services to the population of Mt Isa and Normanton.

What you have to offer:

• Full Current medical registration with APHRA
