Job summary

MedPro Staffing is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist with expert know-how in Adult ADHD to join a modern, technology-enabled service in Australia. You will provide high-level clinical care while shaping governance, pathways, and service development within a multidisciplinary team.

In this senior role you will lead and mentor clinicians, oversee evidence-based treatment plans, and contribute to strategic clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Fellowship or Membership of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is required.
• Full prescribing rights relevant to psychiatric practice within Australia.
• Significant experience assessing and treating adults with ADHD.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based ADHD management.
• Previous experience in clinical leadership, supervision, or governance is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaborative working skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and confirm ADHD diagnoses in adult patients.
• Initiate and oversee evidence-based treatment plans, including psycho stimulant prescribing where appropriate.
• Provide clinical leadership and governance across the service.
• Support and mentor clinicians managing ongoing patient care.
• Review complex presentations and provide specialist clinical guidance.
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions to ensure consistently high standards of care.
• Contribute to clinical protocols, governance frameworks, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work with operational and compliance teams to maintain regulatory and clinical standards.
• Support education and professional development within the wider clinical team.
• Help shape and develop an innovative, patient-focused model of specialist psychiatric care.

This is a unique opportunity to move beyond a traditional high-volume clinical role and take on a position that combines patient care with clinical leadership, governance, and service development. You'll play a key role in shaping a modern, technology-enabled model of care while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to improving access to specialist mental health services.

The Opportunity

Candidate Requirements
