Job summary

ADHD Simple in Australia is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead clinical thinking for complex adult ADHD cases. You’ll diagnose, treat and advise the clinical team, with a defined pathway and no on-call requirements.

We offer flexible full- or part-time arrangements, remote work from anywhere in Australia, and CPD funding to support your ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Specialist registration in psychiatry with AHPRA.
• FRANZCP or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current professional indemnity insurance.
• Experience assessing and treating adults.
• Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental health.

Job description

Lead the clinical thinking on complex adult ADHD presentations and support the clinicians around you, without nights, weekends or on-call.

The Opportunity

ADHD Simple was created because we saw first-hand how difficult it can be for adults to access timely ADHD assessment and treatment. Behind every assessment is someone who has spent a long time waiting for answers.

Our psychiatrists are the senior clinical voice in the service — the people our Nurse Practitioners and General Practitioners turn to on the hard cases.

This is consultant work with one specialty and a defined pathway, rather than a mixed caseload spread across an acute service.

What You Will Do

As a Consultant Psychiatrist with ADHD Simple, you’ll:

• Assess, diagnose and treat complex adult ADHD presentations
• Provide senior clinical input and second opinions to the wider clinical team
• Contribute to weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and supervision
• Help shape the clinical standards and pathways the service runs on

No more than four patients a day, on average, with admin time built into the day rather than left for the evening.

What You Bring

• Specialist registration in psychiatry with AHPRA
• FRANZCP or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification
• Current professional indemnity insurance
• Experience assessing and treating adults
• Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental health

Previous ADHD-specific experience is welcomed but not essential.
