The Position

Classification:HN16 – HN59 or HM33 - HM41 (Medical Specialist Year 1 – 9)

Salary per hour (exc. super): Fractional Specialist Year 1 $160.20 to Year 9 $221.19 or Full Time Specialist Year 1 $132.64 to Year 9 $182.38

Hours per fortnight:FTE andHours Negotiable

Employment Status:Permanent – Fractional / Staff Specialist

You will be a suitably experienced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon seeking a rewarding career through your contribution to a large and rapidly growing regional tertiary referral hospital with a role in teaching and the professional development of Interns, HMOs and Registrars. As a consultant surgeon you will be expected to practice within your scope of practice and will be subject to Bendigo Health’s Credentialing Committee’s jurisdiction whist working in Bendigo Health. The department offers flexibility and welcomes interest from surgeons who may be seeking Full-Time Staff Specialist or Part-Time Fractional appointments.

As a consultant Plastic Surgeon, you will provide clinical management and treatment of patients in the Loddon mallee region and will have the opportunity to support and develop plastic and reconstructive surgery services and research within the department. In addition to outpatient sessions, there will be scheduled Fee for Service (FFS) operating lists as part of this appointment.
